3 Months Abroad

Postby CG » Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:00 pm

Hi

My client is a set designer and has been offered a 3 month job on a film in Budapest. She has been given the choice of being paid PAYE or Schedule D. She will receive her fee plus a weekly living allowance and a daily food allowance.

Can you see any advantage to being paid PAYE or Schedule D?

Many thanks

Schedule D was abolished 15 years ago.

Whether she is employed or self employed is a question of fact, not choice.

Sorry bad habit - my client actually used that term too!

As it's in the film industry some jobs my client does are employed and some self employed - the company usually tells her but she can do the same thing for one as employed and the other as self employed.
