are tools an allowable expense in property business?

Really hoping someone can tell me if tools (power tools or hand tools) are allowable expenses for my rental property business? I have purchased a plunge saw, jigsaw etc for cutting replacement worktops in my rental properties but am not sure if these can be deducted? If so would they go in the repairs section? Thanks in advance for your help
