Cash gift/loan from foreign parents to foreign UK resident non-domiciled

Postby kamoe » Thu May 18, 2017 12:14 pm

Hello everyone

Is a cash gift received from non-uk parents, from abroad, to a non-domiciled foreign uk resident child, subject to the same rules as domiciled citizens? Is is tax-free, and should it be declared in a tax return?

Thanks

Except this is not the same situation I inquired about yesterday. That's for my partner, who's transferring funds from own account in France.

In this case, I'm not transferring from my own account, and the origin of the money is not the EU.

If that does not make any difference, then I'd like to know.

Thanks.
