Declaring a transfer?

Postby K-Grim » Thu Oct 26, 2017 9:52 am

Hi Tax Forum

I have been a Uk non-tax resident for over 5 years (spending more then 186? days out of the country).
Living and working abroad.

But I want to do a one off money transfer back to my uk current account.
I've never done this before. All my wages and such are paid in my foreign account.

Is it ok to do this??
Or does it need declaring to someone when I make the transfer??

(A supplementary question is whether it's ok to do this from a business account or a personal account or if it makes no difference at all.)

No UK tax arises irrespective of how the transfer is made.
