How is class 2 Nic paid?

Hi, I have a letter from hmrc saying they will request class 2 noc monthly from my account.
It doesn't say what account and I can see it coming from any of my accounts.

I'm self employed, I thought this is now taken from my self assessment total at the end of the year?

Class 2 is collected by DD.
Class 4 is paid bi-annually.

Class 2 is now collected annually by self assessment. But you need to be registered.
