How to claim tax refund?

Postby redzone » Wed Dec 27, 2017 6:27 am

Dear community members,

I worked in Germany for 4 months(January to April, 2017). During this period, tax was deducted.

I am trying to claim tax refund of the same. However, the people I have approached so far have told me that "As per German tax laws there is no provision to file return for stay below 183 days". Is this true?

Would anyone be so kind and let me know how I can claim tax refund?

Regards,

Submit a UK tax return (quickly-deadline 31/01/18) and you'll get a repayment.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

Submit a German tax return and you'll get a repayment.(Just because you're not required to complete a return doesn't mean you can't)
