IHT as part of CLSO settlements.

Hi all

Can anyone give me any information of the implications of settleing the IHT portion against the current HMRC - CLSO settlements? I was made aware that some trustees will not release you from the loan charge unless you can prove you've paid these amounts on the years you were part of their Contractor Loans vehicle. Is there a reason why some ask for this and others don't? Would it be worth doing a part settlement for the years I think are needed and not settling for the others I think are not currently needed?
