I'm a self employed taxi driver and today received a letter from HMRC regarding Business records. I telephoned them up and answered some questions on my record keeping.
At the end of the phone conversation i was told i would require a visit to ensure my record keeping is up to scratch. I do keep records which i update daily on an Excel spreadsheet. Is this an investigation or just some friendly advice?
I'm already worrying and not sure what to expect.
