Tax in Spain as a volunteer

Postby StephenM9 » Thu Jan 26, 2017 11:08 pm

Hi,

I've recently moved to Spain to volunteer for a charity, and I'm wondering how to register to become a resident here!

I am not working, but receiving support from family and friends from home to be here- does anyone know how I should register and if I pay tax on what I receive?

Someone advised me to register as autonomous and to pay social security, but this doesn't seem to make sense to me!

Any thoughts?
