vat on a boat for export

Postby guy12345 » Thu Nov 09, 2017 4:38 pm

Hi all
I live and work in Guernsey my wife and I are thinking about buying a boat from the uk and have been told that we can claim the vat back because we are not in the EU .
Is this correct and what is the procedure with a private buyer.

any information would be much appreciated
