My options during a complete disaster

Postby peter2017 » Sun Nov 12, 2017 2:47 pm

Hello all.
Slightly embareesed by my lack of knowledge in this department, but I have a big problem and wanted to see what my options are.

Here’s the story:

I originally could not pay my CT and made an arrangement with HMRC for installments.

Last night I was billed for the final amount. 9memory serves tells me final amount was supposed to come off in December - but that’s beside the point)

The money that has been taken out of my business account was not mine, it was from a client to spend on advertising. Plus on top of that the withdrawal has put my account into a massive negative.

All this over the weekend too, so I can call anyone.

What are my options? I’m probably naive in thinking if I call HMRC tomorrow and explain the will put the money back and help me make arrangements.

I’m worried about fraud implications as this is my clients advertising budget that now looks like I took to pay a tax bill. This is not the case.

I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, just looking for any advice.

Thanks

I think I’ve sorted this.
