Late Registration-Flat Rate

Postby umeshg1 » Wed Dec 06, 2017 9:08 am

My client infomed HMRC with wrong effective date of registraton. It was meant to be Nov16 and not Feb 16. He was also late for registration. He registered in Oct 17.

They have refused to change his effective date .

Question- Can he use the Flat rate scheme even if he was late for registration

Thank you

He can apply for the Flat Rate Scheme.
But he cannot backdate it where he has already submitted VAT Returns.
