Gifting large amount of money to non UK-domiciled parents

Postby justynka » Fri Dec 15, 2017 4:56 pm

Hello,
I am trying to find out whether I will have to pay tax and/or notify HMRC (or any other institution) if I gift GBP 150,000 to my parents so that they can buy a house for themselves.
I am British and live in the UK, but my parents are Polish and they live in Poland.
The money would come from additional borrowing on my mortgage.
Thank you in advance for your help.
