Advice sought on offshore funds in liquidation

Postby tax_schmax » Fri Jan 05, 2018 2:35 pm

I'm a Chartered Financial Planner and am looking for a tax professional to provide an opinion to our firm in relation to the loss on a failed unregulated investment fund. The fund has been in liquidation for 10 years and the final payments are being nade to investors in the near future. We would like someone to provide us wioth an opinion as to the possibility of this being considered a negligible value claim or if we can start to account for losses in the normal way before the fund has completed being wound up?

Happy to hear from any interested parties or any recommendations.
