Good evening

2017 was ups and down,I decided to close my VAT number with my company

Now 2018 i have won some accounts however they are charging me VAT

can i re apply for a vat for my company

i closed company vat in oct 2017,paid my vat that was required of me.

Not sure, from your post, whether your previous registration was voluntary or compulsory but I don't think there would be a bar (presuming that your compliance has been good).

it was voluntary to register my vat

my accountant was saying that I wont be able to re-register under my company!!

so I am a bit confused to his statement

Yes, you can re-apply for registration, as long as the previous deregistration was valid.

Presuming that your accountant knows more about your business than we do, maybe ask the accountant to explain his advice?
