Hi i registered for self employement awhile ago but i recently decided a LTD company better suits me, if/when i make profits and pay myself will i need to be registered for selfemployment/self assessment anyway or are these now pointless and I should close them?

Assuming you have acquired a LTD and are being paid by that entity, your S/E registration is superfluous so cancel it.
