Net pay pension contributions on Self Assessment

Postby ketchupkid » Fri Jul 20, 2018 8:41 pm

Do I need to enter net pay pension contributions (ie gross contributions) on HMRC Self Assessment. Can't find an appropriate field for this in the pensions page of SA.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hello ketchupkid
Do I need to enter net pay pension contributions (ie gross contributions) on HMRC Self Assessment.
No you don't

Note as payments are deducted from Gross pay you have a lower taxable pay declared per your P60 (and also tax deducted) so you have already had all the relevant relief available.
