Postby Pranil » Wed Sep 27, 2017 11:32 pm

Hi,
I came in 2016 on tier 2 ICT visa.later I came to know from friends that for 52 weeks they don't need to pay NI.even their employer does not deduct from salary.
When I enquired to my employer about same he asked for details.Does any one has authorise details about this rule which I can share with my employer.
I am non EEA National.
Hopefully someone will help me

Hi

Yes NI would not apply as long. See below

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-employe ... rom-abroad

There maybe other tax exemptions as well

Kind Regards

Hi GlobalTaxAdviser,

I don't see ICT holder is exempted from NI contributions in below link.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-employee-coming-to-work-from-abroad

It is telling seconded employee is exempted, How ICT is related to seconded employee ?
Please help us to understand.

Thanks,
Nagesh

Hi

Did you manage to resolve your issue where your employer did not pass the tax free allowance to you via payroll. I find myself in the exact same situation (wouldn't be surprised if we have the same employer!) and am unable to find a way to claim the excess tax paid back via self assessment. Would appreciate if you can advise.

Thanks.
