Entrepreneurs relief implications - holding company

Postby KAOWEN21 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:47 am

Good morning.

I have been advised to set up a holding company to shelter profits earned by my trading company. Unfortunately, my market is becoming vulnerable to the current climate.

I understand that if I make the correct representation to HMRC, I can go about this by a share swap and I can protect my future entrepreneurs relief opportunities. The question I have is; what it the correct process for the implementation of this plan?

Thank you
k

Shares in a holding company of a trading group will qualify for ER autonomously. You don't need to do anything special to achieve this.
