As far as I can establish, it only becomes 20% instead of 5%, where the value of the materials is more than 60% of the entire installation. Les 35 can you point me in the direction of the article you have seen regarding the 20% change to so I can take it to the employer please. Evidence always helps when making the case.

Hi all Contacted HMRC today. A garage with a dwelling is classed as an annexe. It is only a garage if there is enough land to convert and sell on the conversion as a dwelling. The rule for showing a motor vehicle has not been inside for 10 years only applies if the conversion will be sold on. So 20%...
