Re: Debt Advice

Debt to HMRC? The fact you mention 3 different companies suggest you are not referring to tax debts that HMRC have referred to a collection agency.

I would suggest (In a non-professional capacity) that you seek advise from a debt charity such as StepChange.

Re: letter about foreign income and gains

If that's what the letter asks then write back stating that the only overseas income/gains you have are as per your tax return.

Re: letter about foreign income and gains

Told them not to. The letter we had said only to reply if there is anything to disclose. They were just casting their hook without being able to see below the surface.

Re: letter about foreign income and gains

I have seen clients receive them when they have no overseas affairs whatsoever.

Re: letter about foreign income and gains

HMRC have sent a lot of letters like this to people who either have or who they believe have foreign income. If you have declared everything that would be taxable, then no action required.

Re: Flat rate mileage to Partnership or Personal?

^ Easier solution. Alternatively, the partnership profit/loss split needs to be adjusted in line with their relevant expenditure.

Re: IHT - Gifts

I think you are getting too caught up one which account it comes from rather than who it comes from.

Re: IHT - Gifts

Ignoring the specific bank account it is paid from, who is actually making the gift?

Re: Returning to main property to sell

In all honesty it is fairly basic stuff for a tax adviser so I wouldn't get too caught up hunting around. You should be able to find someone quite easily.
