Self Employment Confusion!

Postby dylanbouch » Mon Aug 07, 2017 9:32 pm

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong department i'm just after abit of advice, i'll try keep it as simple as possible!

Basically, I started a small Pet Care business recently, alot of it is paid in cash and some of it gets transferred to my bank, I don't give invoices as a lot of people don't ask or don't want and usually pay on the day or on a Friday, I do have records of what dogs I walked on what days so I can easily work out how much i've earnt that year, I also keep receipts for expenses, so i'm just abit confused on how the whole self assessment thing works!

What do people recommend to keep track of earnings? I don't need anything to fancy, just a basic income tracker of sorts, maybe an app?

Sorry if I haven't explained well i'm very new to this!

Thank you!

With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
