Transfer Land from Company to Director

Postby mp2016 » Thu May 10, 2018 10:52 am

Hi

I am intending to transfer land (60k value) from a limited company in which i am the only director and shareholder to myself.

I intend to take the land at market value and pay individual tax as income tax or dividend tax.

Can anyone advise how best to undertake the transaction?

Do I have to send the money for the land to the limited company, and then draw the money back out of the limited company?

Can i transfer the land at "0" and pay tax on the value of the land as income tax, to avoid the circle of money transfer above.

If so what value would go on the land registry forms? 60k or 0k

Thanks in advance.
