Vat Registered Business providing services to non- Vat client

Postby humble_pie » Thu Jan 18, 2018 12:29 pm

Hi

I have a Vat registered IT consulting company, I take on different projects, recently I provided services to a UK registered company, when I am about to invoice this client I realised they
are not Vat registered. Now how do I go about it? Shall I invoice him without Vat and mentioned that in my next Vat returns ?

You must charge VAT as you are a VAT Registered trader.

They can't claim it back.
Presumably when you quoted you made it clear your quote was net of VAT?
