new mortgage interest relief implications

Postby duf » Tue May 17, 2016 5:37 pm

Hi

Quick question here with new tax regime on mortgage interest relief deductions.

Owner is letting only 1 property and has no other incomes from any other sources apart property that is letting out. Property has BTL mortgage and owner lives on a rental accommodation. Owner does not work he lives only in that single income from property is letting out. Would owner be effected by changes on interest mortgage relief ?

As per my understanding, landlords with multiply BTL properties, and other owners who have BTL properties and have normal daily jobs or engaged in business ventures are effected by new changes. Is this correct ?

Any help is appreciated !
