SA - Property Expenses What are HMRC getting at ?

Anyone come across this ? Completing my SA and a warning tab came up in red stating "Warning this figure is high in relation to property income " (Not word for word) This was the repairs and maintenance costs. Checked my receipts, looked at my payments, nothing in cash all through the banking system. I know what repairs and maintenance are. Had some pretty bad luck last year. Has anyone else come across this ?
