House rental income

Postby brooko63 » Mon Oct 15, 2018 11:30 am

My father has gone in to a care home and I am going to rent his house to help towards the care costs. Presumably the rental income will be taxable. Can the rent be paid to my sons wife as she is a full time mum and a non taxpayer as she is not working ?

No, the rental income is the income of the owner - i.e your father.
