ISA transfer

Postby regiment » Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:41 pm

I am the executor of a widow who has left her estate to her adult daughter. Among the assets of the estate is an investment comprising ISA shares in a property company that rents out domestic properties

The beneficiary of the estate would prefer to retain the Isa investment and have it transferred to her name. Is this ISA transferable to the beneficiary, or am I obligated to sell the ISA investment and pass the proceeds in cash to the beneficiary

ISAs are non transferable (unless spousal) so you'll have to sell the shares.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
