VAT and rentaroom

Postby Incredulum » Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:18 pm

An individual lets a room in their house on Airbnb. Sometimes the visitor is for a night or two, sometimes a lodger for a few months. On which payments is VAT to be accounted for?

Thank you.

Is this a follow on from the November posts? I thought Robbob had covered this.

Have you read this? https://www.taxadvisermagazine.com/article/furnished-holidays

I thought Robbob had covered this.
I never got as far as covering that specific point to any level of satisfaction from memory - to be honest the whole reponse to the original question was a bit of a botch it robbob.
