As self employed landlord letting only one residential (dwelling) property. The car you own it and use it (20% business / 80% private) for running let out property in question.
Can you offset, that 20% as capital allowance based on written down allowance WDA (depreciation method) ? We are aware that, running costs, e;g (petrol, insurance, road tax, mot) all are expenses but I don't the price paid for car itself, is that capital allowance and can be offset it against profits ?
Also, if car is bought as HP(higher purchases) or PCP(personal contract payment) either way. Can you offset total monthly payment (20% business use) you pay for the car if you buy it this way ?
Many thanks in advance.
