stamp duty or not?

Postby Deltech » Mon May 25, 2020 9:09 am

My partner and I own one property each.

I want to transfer ownership of mine to her.

Will she be liable for stamp duty on this "second property"?

I assume not married.

SDLT requires chargeable consideration if a charge is to apply. As you are making a gift then no SDLT charge (unless a mortgage attaches to the gifted property).
