Multiple Dwellings Relief for Stamp Duty Land Tax

Hi all, ive been told by my estate agent that a rental house i bought that had previously been used as 2 flats could be eligible for some repaid SDLT under the Multiple Dwellings Relief since some changes in the rates and rules? i wonder if anyone has any experience of this - ie our case the house was physically in a separated upstairs/downstairs flats state when bought, although the previous owner had ripped out both kitchens fittings
