Hello,
I own a flat in a student halls of residence. I am thinking of gifting it to my adult daughter. She is currently renting but will in a couple of years buy her first property.
Would the fact that at the point of purchase she owns a flat in a student hall of residence into which she cannot move affect her first time buyer status in regard of Stamp Duty.
Many thanks.
