Reclaiming VAT - accommodation?

Question re reclaiming VAT 3yr goods /6m services when register for VAT:
Would this include vat on hotel bills (accommodation required for working away)?

Hello,

Section 12.1.3 of the VAT guide states that if you or your employees are away from your normal place of business then you can treat VAT incurred on hotel and similar accommodation as input tax.

Providing it was incurred within 6 months of your effective date of VAT registration, then yes, you're entitled.
