Is there any advantage of registering for VAT

Postby skray » Sun Sep 15, 2013 2:20 pm

Hi
I am a freelances operating through a personal services limited company - incoming funds are in the form of fees received into my business bank account - outgoings mostly accountants fees, insurance, meals and travel, salary, dividends, training etc.
Is there any particular advantahe for VAT registration apart from possibly benefiting from the Flat VAT Rate scheme (unless turnover exceeds threshold when VAT registration becomes mandatory)
Thanks

Possibly, if you register for the flat rate scheme you may be able to profit from VAT, else if you are making supplies to other vat registered businesses (who can recover the VAT) then generally it is beneficial to register for VAT anyway as you can recover VAT on your overheads
Do you adore to transfer your artistic and inventive qualities to renovate a part type? Perhaps your friends who tour your sanctuary head remarks about want they could levy you to change their premises.
