VAT on services to a Guernsey company

Postby vinceashe » Mon Oct 15, 2018 10:40 am

I have a UK VAT registered company providing accounting & administration services to a small number of UK companies. I am negotiating to provide similar services to a company based in Guernsey. Will I have to charge VAT on the invoices for those services?

The services fall within the General Rule. HMRC Notice 741A, para 6.3 explains this. Notice that you need to obtain evidence that the customer is in business.
