VAT QUESTION

Postby poderick » Mon Nov 19, 2018 9:44 am

We are a commercial radio station who aired an advert for a shopping centre in Burton On Trent.

The landlords of the shopping centre are registered in Guernsey and are saying therefore that VAT should not have been charged by us on the invoice for the airtime.

Are they correct?

Many thanks

yes the landlords are correct - for VAT purposes Guernsey is not a part of UK or EU. The place of supply is in Guernsey and outside scope of UK VAT.
