Ltd Company and partnership

Postby divot » Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:51 pm

Hi, I probably can guess the answer to this but just for confirmation and make sure I haven’t overlooked anything: -
1. Ltd. Company VAT registered, but this year made losses.
2. Partnership NOT VAT registered but made profit this year.
I am director/owner of both.
Can I transfer profits from Partnership to Ltd. Without incurring VAT?

Thank you for your time in Advance

You can "gift" the profits to the LTD if you wish, but they'll still be assessed on you.(and they'll end up as a loan in the LTD). (So No.)
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

If the Limited company was a member of the partnership and received a profit share, then this would be entirely possible. You have not made the exact structure clear. You can contact me on 01276 61203 or 07943005902 if you want to discuss.
