New company incorporation for VAT efficiency

Postby Goldensierra96 » Mon Apr 10, 2023 4:01 pm

Hi all.
I have a trading company that imports good from the EU and retails in the UK for a profit. The revenue is under the UK vat threshold but I'm still vat registered to comply with the import aspect.
Is it possible that I can deregister my trading company for VAT for a set period until the threshold is reached and incorporate a new vat-registered UK company that only imports from the EU and sells to my current UK company.

Yes you can. But where's the benefit?
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
