Need advise please
My client has been investigated by HMRC and has issued a payment of £15K due to no till receipt. What they do is each day they record total cash sales and credit card sales and expenses paid in a A4 paper.
HMRC is arguing under Public Notice 727 - Retail Scheme section 4.5 a record of Daily Gross takings will normally be a till roll or copies of sales vouchers. My client has kept till recipt for few quarters but no all, however when the record of cash sales and credit card sales in teh A4 sheet is checked with the avialable till roll it matches.
How do I convience the record kept by them is accurately reflect the till roll for other periods where there is no till rolls to back up my argument?
Thanks
