Cop 8 investigations

Postby Cop8 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 10:38 pm

I received a cop 8 letter from Hmrc, They want all information dating back 10 years,on all accounts, properties etc. Is this a fishing excercise by them or do they have something on me and wanting me to spill the beans so to speak.

COP 8 is not likely to be fishing; it is serious as the letter (and presumably booklet received at the same time) indicate. You need to get proper specialist help with this.

In just the same way as for COP9 enquiry letters you need to get specialist advise to retain any advantage that applies and stops the case getting any more serious with progression to potentially Taxes Criminal becoming involved
regards and hope this helps
