I have got a question to ask out of curiousity.

For example when it comes to number of days spend in the UK. How is inland revenue ever going to find out when you travel in/out of country and dont use your cards in the UK unless you mention it to them?

This counts for an individual who is not renting/owning property, only having a uk bank account.

thanks

The question really should be how are you going to prove to the Inland Revenue the number of days that you have spent?

The Inland Revenue have powers to call for documents etc so if you are travelling then presumably your name is on a register somewhere. Realistically though, this type of action would only be done where there was a decent amountof tax at stake.

More likely, you could be caught by being reported by a "friend" that feels agrieved by your boasts of paying no tax while your expectng him to stand the next round in the pub!
