Income on a Loan Tax

Postby Expat1 » Tue May 03, 2022 12:16 pm

Hi,
Looking at a fixed income investment where my investment will be taxed as “income on a loan” I’ve been told. I’m a higher rate tax payer so what tax would I pay on the investment?
Thanks

I’d suggest that the only person who understands the term “income on a loan” is the person who said it to you. I have no idea what it means.

Income generated from a loan is usually better known as “interest”.
