Enduring Power of Attorney

Postby Another1 » Mon Aug 01, 2022 6:58 pm

I hope this is the correct forum!

Some years ago my wife and I completed and retain the appropriate forms for Enduring Power of Attorney. This was prepared by ourselves when it was free to do so.
We have since lost contact with witnesses on the EPA,and with EPA is now superseded by the Lasting Power of Attorney,
I’m looking for advice on whether my EPA remains valid,…help please!

Yes it's still valid, but LPAs enable you to cover more than just financial matters.

Can an EPA be used with a LPA (Health and Welfare) or would I need to complete both parts of LPA (Health /Welfare) plus (Financial) and scrap the EPA?

You can just do a Health & Welfare LPA.
