investment income

Postby dawnhooper » Tue Jun 30, 2015 8:33 pm

 Hi. I don't work but do receive rental income from rooms i rent in my house. I am calculating how much tax I might owe. Do I add my investment income to my rental income and then deduct expenses or has my investment income (8000 from a Prudential bond) already been taxed so therefore is not part of the calculation
Thank you

It could depend on what type of Bond, and whether you are claiming Rent A Room relief.
