When determining income from investments....where service/platform charges are made, do I deduct these charges when assessing what investment income has been earned?

Unfortunately not no.

You need declare the gross income and potentially a foreign tax credit may be allowed if applicable.

Sorry, should also mention that UK withholding may also be applicable that can be used as a credit.

It's unlikely, but just wanted to flag
