LISAs and the Lifetime Allowance

Postby JOHNRE » Sat Mar 06, 2021 4:04 pm

Quite a simple question, really, but have been unable to find the answer anywhere......do savings in a Lifetime ISA count towards your Lifetime Pension Allowance?

Cheers.

Hi,

No complexities to worry about here. LISAs DO NOT contribute to the LTA, they are two separate tax wrappers.

Thank you. That’s very useful. Do you possibly have a link to somewhere at HMRC or gov.U.K. that would reference this?

I contacted the Pensions Advisory Service this morning and they confirmed what you said. Thank you.
