I have just completed a set of accounts for period from 3 March 2024 to 31 March 2025. These accounts and were attached to tax return and tax comp for period from 3 March 2024 to 2 March 2025 using my agent's code for CT and my agent's gateway ID and they were all submitted straight away. However the return and tax comp for the period from 3 March 2025 to 31 March 2025, attaching the accounts for the period from 3 March 2024 to 31 March 2025, using the same code and ID kept failing to submit saying that either the code or ID was incorrect. TaxCalc support cannot help and it is impossible to get through to the HMRC's agent's helpline. Is there anyone on here who can help please?
If the same agent code and ID worked for the earlier period but fail now, it could be a date mismatch or overlap issue. Try checking if the second return period (3 Mar–31 Mar 2025) is being flagged as a duplicate or invalid period by HMRC’s system. You might need to file it as a short-period return separately. You can also double-check your figures using https://hstcalculator.onl/ to make sure everything aligns.
