Flight training

Postby 74747 » Sun Apr 07, 2019 4:43 pm

Afternoon all,

I currently for an airline as an employee. I'm a licensed aircraft engineer. I am considering going into the world of contract work. I have a limited company set up for this purpose. My question is this:

If I attend commercial pilot training and pay a large amount to do so, in order to broaden my skill set and offerings as an aviation professional/business. Either to remain in engineering but also fly, or to end up flying full time. Could I offset tax against that?

Thanks in advance,

No as it would potentially be seen as a personal cost or at the least a capital payment to acquire further personal skills
regards and hope this helps
