Claiming on vehicle expenses

Postby Iwang » Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:39 pm

I have a mobile catering company. In May 2018 I bought a van - that I use for both personal and business use. For 2018/19 taxation period I calculated mileage percentage used for business and claimed this % back off the purchase price of the van. I believe I'm right in saying that once you've claimed on purchase of business vehicles you cannot then claim back fuel per mile.

What exactly can I claim tax on in future? Can I claim on road tax, MOT, Service, Vehicle Insurance? Any fuel at all?
